Breaking Bad is the opposite of redeeming. But the writing is just so good. The writing is what kept me hooked for all of the bajillion seasons I watched (that’s how it felt at least) cause I was so trapped in it, so unable to unstick myself from the cliffhanger-ending episodes – and yet so aware of how it was negatively affecting my mood and my dreams. It was kinda like a torturous habit to turn the TV on again. But I did and I finished BrBa and started BCS and I just finished the fourth season tonight. Gilligan is just too good. I hated the El Camino movie, thought, it was super depressing. Not to say either of the series were much less depressing. But there’s just nothing like this show.
PS Jonathan Banks aka Michael Ehrmantraut is my favorite character in the series.
